I received the Spectra Star Derma Roller in return for my honest review. This roller is a 1.0 mm roller. The purpose of using derma rollers is to help open pores and create deep channels which causes your skin to produce more collagen. The increase in collagen in return reduces scars, fine lines and wrinkles. A few things to note prior to use-- don't use if you have any kind of skin rash or active acne and do not share your roller. After receiving the roller, I followed the directions, cleaning the roller with alcohol (soak for 20 minutes). This is a nice sized roller- it's easy to grip and use. When I use the roller, I wash my face and hands and apply some moisturizing cream. I've been rolling the areas where I have acne scars. I gently roll in all directions a few times. This roller did not break or scratch my skin. I haven't seen any redness ( maybe I'm doing it too lightly) but it does leave a tingling feeling. After I use the roller, I apply Vitamin C serum to my face. Since starting with this roller, my skin looks healthier and pores are smaller. My acne scars are less noticeable. I assume they will eventually go away after a few more uses. Impressed with the results so far.
