The jaw clamps down really well and gets a really good grip on fish. The trigger can be used by one hand which frees the other hand. It's just as easy to release as it is to grasp with this trigger. This gripper has a built-in digital scale that can weigh up to 55 lbs.It also has a built in tape measure which is easy to use and read. The LED light for the scale is bright and easy to read. My father-in-law has used this gripper and it's very accurate compared to other scales. It's also waterproof so you don't have to worry about damaging the display.
