I received Alaska Bear Bike Cable Lock in return for my unbiased review. Alaska Bear Bike Cable Lock is a very heavy duty bike lock. The cable is very thick and sturdy. It has woven steel cables and a vinyl coating. It's 1/2-inch wide and 4-foot long. It's not too short and fits my son's bike perfectly. He and my husband had no problem putting the lock on as well as setting the 4-digit combination. My son can lock his bike up himself and unlock using the combination. The cable is heavy duty but lightweight. He can keep it in his backpack and it doesn't weigh it down. This is definitely a high quality lock and we don't have to worry about his bike being stolen.
