There is a flexible stainless steel probe that's long enough to check the temps of any meats. I've used this to check temps of steaks and boston butts. I love to use this especially when we're smoking meats. This thermometer comes with a really handy app that features preset 'Doneness' temperatures for 16 popular meats and 2 foods. This has been a very informative app . This thermometer also comes with a set of very sturdy hand claws. These claws were perfect for pulling apart my boston butt.
