The pieces are made of a very sturdy ABS plastic. They are non-toxic and larger than legos, thus reducing a choking hazard. These are fun, colorful blocks. This set comes with an instruction manual for designing feathered friends. My sons have really enjoyed figuring out how to make different feathered friends. The blocks connect perfectly. This set will keep them entertained for hours!! They can make so many different birds. This really sparks their imagination and keeps them occupied. A great break from electronics!!
