The Baltic Amber Teething Necklace is an age old natural remedy trusted by European mothers for centuries. Baltic amber has some of the highest concentrations of succinic acid found in nature. When worn on the skin, body heat causes the amber to release an oil containing the succinic acid, which when absorbed into the skin, working like a natural Ibuprofen or an analgesic. I had the opportunity to receive this necklace in return for my unbiased review. This is a different type of teething ring. It's to be worn by baby but not chewed on. This necklace is made of 100% pure Baltic Amber. It's hand crafted and it's safety knotted which is an extra effort to keep the beads in place as baby tugs or pulls. My son is teething so I've put on this necklace to see how he would react. Of course, he immediately began pulling and tugging. It stayed in place despite his best efforts to remove it. So I must say, this is a strong necklace. It has seemed to help alleviate the pain he's had with teething. He's not as fussy. I let him wear the necklace at times during the day but I don't let him sleep in it. I've also placed it around his ankle and even though he tries to pull it off, he has had a hard time getting it off. Overall, this is a very neat teething necklace. It seems to be working for my son.
